Forged® Warranty & Repair Policy

All Forged® Products are covered by our policy over the natural life of the product for the original owner at the discretion of Forged Fly Fishing.  Reels that are determined to be damaged by abuse or neglect, either by physical or environmental factors (excessive wear and tear beyond normal use, accidental breakage by fault of the owner, etc) are not covered by our warranty policy.

If your reel or product fails during normal fishing use and under the terms of our Limited Warranty, we will repair or replace your product at no cost to the owner, save shipping.  If your reel is a discontinued model and is not repairable, you will be offered a current equivalent replacement model at no charge. We believe in the products we have designed, and feel you should to.

Forged Fly Fishing® reserves the right to update and change this policy at any time.  We understand that every situation is unique and strive to stand by our products and guarantee quality, performance and reliability.  Accidents happen, and we want you to have options to get back on the water.  Quality control and manufacturing inconsistencies also happen (although VERY rare!) and we want to make sure we do everything in our power to get them corrected.  

All warranty and service requests are processed at the discretion of Forged®.

Every new Forged® Reel is covered by a 10 year Limited Warranty against defects in materials and workmanship and must include a dated proof of purchase.This warranty is limited to repair or replacement of the reel only, and does not cover direct, indirect, consequential, incidental or any other type of damage resulting from the use of the product. This warranty does not cover misuse, neglect, normal wear, fire, theft, loss, or intentional damage. Forged® reserves the right to determine whether to repair or replace any Forged® product covered by this warranty and the right to replace any discontinued models with the newer models when necessary. Color variation between original and replacement parts will only happen with the permission of the model's owner. In order to invoke this warranty, the original owner must send the entire Forged® Product, including broken parts or pieces, freight paid and insured to the address given to the owner once they have contacted Forged®.

This also applies to reels purchased at one of our Authorized Retailers.
Forged® takes care of all Warranty issues in house, and encourages you to contact us directly instead of contacting your place of purchase, as they will only direct you to contact us as well. This saves you time so you can get back on the water, and saves the Retailer time and shipping to our location!

Q: What if my item is not made anymore?
A: If you have a discontinued reel/product that is not repairable, and your repair/warranty issue is covered under our Limited Warranty , you may be eligible to receive the next appropriate model at no cost to you.  This service is offered on a case-by-case basis.

For any model, we make no guarantees of being able to replace a model that has been discontinued at the time of making a warranty claim.

Q. Is there any cost to me for Limited Warranty's?

A: All that we ask is that shipping be covered by the product owner, as Forged will not be responsible for shipping costs.
